Hello, community! If you’re already tired of affiliate marketing, we have a great case for you. Let’s ditch cloakers and anti-detects — and go film short videos instead. Because in reality, TikTok can earn you no less than gambling traffic. And with almost no risks! But let’s take it one step at a time.
Before we start, just a reminder — TikTok is a perfect source of conditionally free traffic. Not sure what that means? Then hurry over to our overview of paid traffic and UBT!
How does monetization work on TikTok?
Just like many other media platforms, TikTok offers a wide range of options for monetizing your creativity. We’re talking not only about income from advertisers, for example. TikTok itself also pays creators.
Let’s take a closer look at all the current content monetization methods on TikTok. Some of the examples might seem obvious, while others could still surprise you.
Built-in affiliate program: Creator Fund
And let’s start with the juiciest one. Even affiliates who actively drive UBT traffic from TikTok often don’t know that the platform allows monetizing views. That means your ROI can be even better if you’re also earning from the views themselves — even without conversions.
But a quick note: making money on TikTok would be way too easy if they just paid for every view. To join the Creator Fund, you need to meet certain requirements — and currently, this program doesn’t work in Ukraine at all. But that’s just temporary, we hope.

In all other cases, anyone can join the Creator Fund if they:
- Are over 18 years old.
- Have more than 10,000 followers.
- Have over 100,000 views in the last thirty days.
So how do you earn money on TikTok? How much does it pay per view? Typically, it’s about $20–40 per 1 million views. Each thousand views equals about $0.02–0.04. BUT! That only applies to videos in Ukrainian. If you create content in English, the RPM (revenue per thousand views) is much higher — around $0.70–$0.90, according to our colleagues at Ban.Media.
TikTok also counts skips. If someone swipes away your video right away, that view won’t be paid — even though it appears in the stats. Also, they don’t pay for videos shorter than one minute. So you can only monetize videos that are longer than 60 seconds.
If you know how many views your channel gets per month and you’re curious about potential earnings — try this special calculator. It’ll help you understand how much you could earn if you joined the Creator Fund.
How to connect Creator Fund if you’re living in Ukraine?
Even though you can’t currently connect to TikTok’s affiliate program directly from Ukraine, there is a workaround. Right now, the Creator Fund only works in a few countries. The list includes: the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the USA.
All you need to connect to the program is to register “from there.” This means setting your phone to the chosen country, and using a VPN. If everything is set up correctly, your dashboard will show “Creator Rewards Program.” But if the system detects you’re still in Ukraine — the feature simply won’t appear.
Monetizing TikTok livestreams
Let’s also quickly cover how TikTok livestream monetization works. This feature becomes available to any creator with over 1,000 followers.
During a livestream, viewers can send the streamer stickers and gifts. These cost real money for viewers. And 80% of the gift’s value goes to the creator’s balance in the form of coins — which can later be converted to real money.
If you want to calculate how much you can earn from gifts, try using this calculator. Generally, 10,000 coins will earn you around $50. Stickers vary in price, so it’s nearly impossible to predict how much you’ll make per stream.
Views | Livestreams |
$0.02 to $0.04 per 1,000 views | $5 per 1,000 coins |
Advertising & UGC content
The main source of income for many creators can be advertising videos. And for Ukrainians looking to earn on TikTok, this should be a top-priority monetization method. Why?
- No regional restrictions. You can work with advertisers from your current country and get paid in any way that works for you.
- No weird coin conversions. You’ll know exactly how much you’re getting for each integrated video.
- Room for growth. Small integrations can eventually turn into full brand ambassadorships — bringing in even more stable and bigger income.
Overall, traditional advertising is currently the top monetization option for many TikTok creators.
Also, don’t forget about the UGC trend. Even HUGE and well-known brands are happy to work with small creators and buy native ads from them. So if you’ve ever wanted to advertise something and earn with TikTok — now’s the best time to jump in.
Affiliate programs
Well, how could we skip these? But we’re not just talking about aggressive monetization. If you’ve built a loyal audience, it’s totally fine to redirect them to products you personally use — via referral links. They’re pretty much everywhere now.
You can also search for referral links inside CPA networks. You’ll find a list of trusted affiliate programs on our media pages.
How to make money on TikTok: a step-by-step guide
So let’s model a scenario. You’re a charismatic person looking for any way to earn money. But you’re really not into working at a factory. In that case, here’s our action plan:
- Create a TikTok account (if you haven’t already).
- Post content regularly. It should be as professional and high-quality as possible. Follow trends to understand what to shoot, how to shoot it, and which music to use.
- Engage with comments, interact with your audience, and aim not only to keep their attention but earn their loyalty. That’ll help no matter what monetization model you go for.
- Focus on a specific niche. That will make it easier to find advertisers.
Once you have an audience and the views are flowing, it’s time to pick your monetization method and activate it: if it’s advertising, negotiate the number and type of integrations, payments, and other details. If you’re monetizing through livestreams, start streaming and “probe” your audience to understand what they like.
Creator Fund is not yet available in Ukraine — so we’re skipping that option for now. But if you decide to monetize views via affiliate programs, just pick the most relevant product from one of our listed networks and start redirecting traffic. You can use a Telegram channel as a kind of pre-landing, but that’s a topic for another article.
